If I had to stand still and sing, I'd be lost. I can't get any feeling that way."

Elvis Live In Concert - The USS Arizona MEMORIAL Benefit Concert - Saturday March 25, 1961

Fri 3/26 8:00 pm ET
This is one of the two concerts Elvis performed in 1961. Recorded live in Honolulu, where Elvis raised the money to make the WWII Naval Memorial a reality. It was a huge moment for former US Navy sailor Scotty Moore as well as for Colonel Tom Parker who organized the affair. The Colonel had been stationed in Hawaii during his service in the US Army. Colonel made certain that everyone had to "buy" a ticket —no freebies, comps or passes. Even Elvis had to write out a check! This was Elvis’ last-ever performance before his self-imposed seven year exile from public performing.  (1 hr)
