FIND THE RIGHT FREQUENCY
"It makes a world of difference"
If you are using FM Frequencies to send the XM signal from your XM Radio to a home or car stereo (thru the FM Modulator), you need to determine the best frequency to transmit the signal. Not using the best signal for your area will result in sub par performance.
XM radios work best if you choose an unused frequency on the FM dial. It's also best not to pick a frequency that's too close to a strong FM station. Goto the web site above and find vacant frequencies in your area that are best suited for use with your audio device. You will love the way it sounds.
| Search Results for Major US Markets: |

| Chicago | 60606 | 106.9 FM |
| Houston | 77004 | 99.7 FM |
| Washington DC | 20007 | 102.9 FM |
Example:
- Go to: www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/vacant
- Enter zip code.
- Search the database to determine BEST FM station to modulate on
- Set your XM radio to modulate on that channel and set your FM radio to the same station.
- Enjoy great sounding XM radio on your FM radio.
Note: Your XM radio may not modulate wirelessly on each of the frequencies shown on the Radio-Locator site. Check your XM radio or your User Guide for the frequencies that are usable for you.
