What is XM Radio Online?
XM Radio Online is an extension of the XM Satellite Radio service. With XM Radio Online you have access to over 120 XM channels including:
- The most music on satellite radio: 69 commercial-free channels, plus XM's exclusive live concerts and original programming like SIRIUS XM's exclusive music series Artist Confidential
- Year-round MLB coverage on MLB Home Plate and up-to-the-minute news from CNN, Fox, and ESPN
- The Bob Edwards Show, from XM Public Radio
- And, the outrageous, uninhibited talk duo, Opie & Anthony
Why doesn't XM Radio Online offer all of XM Satellite Radio's channels?
XM Radio Online offers all of the XM Satellite Radio channels for which we have Internet performance rights. Certain third-party content may not be available over the Internet through XM Radio Online. Please refer to the XM Radio Online channel lineup for the channel list.
Why have you changed the online listening product?
The Online listening platform has been upgraded to a higher quality digital audio and is no longer included as a part of a base subscription at no charge. The upgrading of this service allows for customers to listen at near CD-quality sound (128k) for a better listening experience. In the future this will also allow customers to access the online listening platform from a variety of electronic devices.
Do I have to be connected to the Internet to use XM Radio Online?
Yes. XM Radio Online is an Internet streaming music service; you must be connected to the Internet at all times while using the service.
How do I subscribe to XM Radio Online?
To subscribe to XM Radio Online, go to http://listen.xmradio.com and select the appropriate subscription plan from the right-side of the page.
If you are not an existing satellite subscriber and want to try XM Radio Online before subscribing, simply select the free trial option.
How much does XM Radio Online cost?
If you're a first-time user, you can sign-up for a free trial. Most XM Satellite Radio Subscribers can add Premium Online to thei account for only $2.99 a month.
When will I be impacted by the price changes?
Current customers are not impacted by the most recent price increase or benefit change until their next renewal date.
Do I need a credit card to use XM Radio Online?
No, you do not need a credit card to register for XM Radio Online if you're starting a trial offer. To purchase a standalone subscription, you will need a credit card to create your account.
Is XM Radio Online available outside the U.S.?
XM Radio Online can be heard outside of the U.S.; however, you will need a U.S. billing address to subscribe to the service. Once your subscription is activated you can sign in from any geographic location. Signing in from outside the U.S. may not always be reliable depending on your local networking environment.
Can I use XM Radio Online for commercial purposes?
No. XM Radio Online's terms of service, which must be accepted before you can use XM Radio Online, state that XM Radio Online is for personal, non-commercial use only. If you wish to use XM for commercial purposes, you should use our satellite radio service. Please go to http://commercial.xmradio.com for more information on our commercial subscription plans.
