XM in Your Vehicle

How do I know if I am eligible to receive a free XM Trial?
  • Most new and select pre-owned vehicles equipped with XM Satellite Radio offer some level of complimentary service. Ask your vehicle dealer for more details, or call 1-800-XMRADIO.

Can I get a discount if I have multiple XM subscriptions?
  • You can get a discount on up to four additional XM Radio subscriptions when you link your new XM radio to your current XM Radio account. Your 2nd through 4th subscriptions would cost only $8.99/month for each additional subscription versus $12.95/month, plus any other fees and taxes, when your new radio is linked to your current account (assumes both are XM Everything package).

How do I activate an XM Radio in the used or certified pre-owned vehicle I purchased?
  • To activate the radio in your used or certified pre-owned vehicle, click here or call 1-800-XM-RADIO (967-2346).

What does it mean if my vehicle is Satellite Radio Ready or XM Ready?
  • Satellite Radio Ready or XM Ready vehicles are vehicles which were equipped at the factory with the necessary radio to receive XM, but still require the dealer to install an XM Receiver and possibly an antenna in order to fully equip the vehicle with XM. See your dealer for more details.

How can I find out whether my vehicle has XM Radio?
  • To see if your vehicle already has XM built-in, press the BAND, AUX or SAT button on your radio controls to scroll through the radio bands. If your radio has XM, you will see the "XM" letters when you scroll to the XM band. If the XM service is activated, you can use your radio controls to scan through the channels. If your service is not activated, you will see channels 0, 1 and 247 only.
