XM takes you live weekly to the "The House of Swing" - Jazz at Lincoln Center as Wynton Marsalis leads the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra through its 23rd concert season. The 2007-08 season on XM kicked off October 20, 2007 with the Benny Carter Centennial, as the JLCO performed the legendary trumpeter/saxophonist's music and arrangements, and continues throughout 2008 featuring season guests Monty Alexander, Dave Brubeck, Paquito D'Rivera, Rev. Dr. Calvin O. Butts, III with The Abyssinian Baptist Church Choir; Freddy Cole, Carla Cook, Chano Dominguez, Kurt Elling, Frank Foster, Wycliffe Gordon, Scott Hamilton, Allan Harris, Edwin Hawkins, Ramsey Lewis, Ivan Lins, Russell Malone, Branford Marsalis, Mulgrew Miller, Lewis Nash, Rosa Passos, Eric Reed, Marcus Roberts, Marlena Shaw, Trio da Paz and many more in concerts in Rose Theater and The Allen Room.

In The Swing Seat with Wynton Marsalis

America's jazz ambassador takes us on a journey through the world of jazz exploring the genius of artists like John Coltrane, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, and Thelonious Monk. We learn how to identify artists by their playing styles, we learn the connection between jazz and other art forms, and we hear from artists who stop by the studio to play and discuss their music.
