Seamless Integration for OEM Cockpits

The Garmin G1000™ is a completely integrated avionics system designed to fit a broad range of aircraft models. The G1000 can easily be scaled up to comply with the requirements of twin-turbine business jets or scaled down for installation in single- or twin-engine pistons, meeting the needs of many aircraft manufacturers.

It’s an all-glass flight deck that presents flight instrumentation, location, navigation, communication, and identification data on large-format, high resolution displays. The digital data presentation on the G1000 puts all flight-critical information literally at the pilot’s fingertips.

The G1000 is capable of receiving both XM WX Weather as well as XM audio by integrating the Garmin GDL69 or GDL69A data receivers. The GDL 69 delivers real-time graphical weather data -- NEXRAD images, lightning detection, and graphical and textual METARs -- as well as Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) information for the United States to the G1000 all-glass cockpit. The GDL69A delivers the real-time graphical weather as well but also adds the XM audio capability providing over 120+ channels of news, talk, sports, and music. Both XM WX Weather data and XM audio service require separate subscriptions with XM Satellite Radio.
