Heads Up Technologies designs and manufactures aviation
FAA certified products for XM Satellite Radio’s audio and weather
data solutions. The company has received STC-PMA (Supplemental Type Certificate
- Parts Manufacturer Approval) on the weather data receiver (pictured at
right) and for their family of single and multi-channel audio receiver
units. The USB data port, also FAA certified, allows remote installation
of the receiver with quick connection to EFB solutions or other displays
in the cockpit for XM WX capability using a USB connection.

The FAA certified satellite weather data receiver enables the delivery of XM WX to the cockpit in a clear, intuitive format. Heads Up supplies Rockwell Collins and Avidyne with FAA approved weather data receivers for use in their advanced avionics packages.
The audio receiver enables XM Satellite Radio service into the cockpit and to passengers. With multi-receiver units, each passenger has the ability to manage XM’s 120+ channels of programming simultaneously and independently from each other. Heads Up also offers control head solutions that will allow you to manage multiple radio receivers with a single touch-screen control head, which also supports IR-based remote control functionality.
