Hosted by Bill McDermott, World Cup This Morning, breaks down the quest for the Cup, giving listeners a daily dose of headlines, match highlights, and expert analysis of all the action in Germany for the FIFA World Cup 2006.
McDermott entered his 34th year of soccer announcing in 2006. During that period he has covered every form of soccer in the United States - indoor, outdoor, amateur, collegiate and professional. He has provided commentary of every World Cup since 1970 on either Television or Radio including the 1994 and 1998 Cups on ABC, ESPN, and ESPN2. In addition, he was involved in the very first soccer telecast on ESPN in September of 1979.
A native of St. Louis, McDermott was a US National Youth Team member in 1967 and played on two NCAA Championship teams in 1967 and 1969 at St. Louis University.

Since 1996 Dwight Burgess has been the radio and TV play-by-play announcer for the Columbus Crew. During his career he has also broadcast various other US Soccer, MLS and NPSL/MISL matches, and has spent two seasons in the booth for The Ohio State University men's basketball games. Dwight is also the Head Coach for Men's and Women's Soccer at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.
